Don’t believe the hype: Kate Upton never dissed her famous chest, and she’s ready to set the record straight.

Earlier this week, quotes attributed to the two-time Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl, 21, portrayed her as someone who wished she could reduce the size of her chest at will.

“I wish I had smaller boobs every day of my life as I would love to wear spaghetti tops braless or go for the smallest bikini designs,” the U.K.’s The Sun on Sunday quoted her as saying. “Every single day I’m like, ‘Oh man, it would be so much easier, especially if people didn’t constantly bring them up,’ ” she said. “If I could just take them off like they were clip-ons.”

The whole story had us raising our eyebrows (what girl has ever said “go for the smallest bikini designs?”) and now Upton is confirming our suspicions — while promoting The Other Woman in Australia, she disavowed the quotes altogether.

“Isn’t that lovely whenever media makes up something? It’s like, ‘It’s my body, I’ll tell you how I feel about it!'” she said on Australian radio station 2DayFM. “I actually never said that. If someone asked me this question and actually cared to hear what I have to say about my own personal body … I would say that I feel like all women feel like they don’t have life perfect. Sometimes they don’t feel their best, but I love my body. I always feel incredibly grateful for what I have.”

She reiterated the sentiment on Twitter:

Did you buy that Kate wanted “clip on boobs?” What do you think of her response?
