Attending solemn services commemorating Anzac Day, Kate wore an indigo twill jacquard swing coat from Kors’ Spring 2014 collection, marking the first time she’s worn a piece from the American designer’s eponymous label. “Coat check – Kate Middleton looks perfectly polished in this piece from our Spring ’14 Collection,” Kors Tweeted Thursday morning along with a photo. Though it was Kate’s first Kors moment, First Lady Michelle Obama is often seen wearing designs by the former Project Runway judge. At a a pre-Oscar party in L.A. last month, Lupita Nyong’o wore a dress made of the same indigo and white twill material as the Duchess’ coat. Will, Kate & George Head Home After ‘Incredible’ Tour of Australia and New Zealand Pinned just below Kate’s lapel was a poppy brooch given to her by the wife of soldier Ben Roberts-Smith, recipient of the Victoria Cross, Australia’s highest honor. A Hatmaker by Jonathan Howard “Boutton” fascinator — the silhouette of the flying bow trim on the “Duchess Navy” blue topper was compared by some to a pair of bunny ears — Alexander McQueen suede heels and the Stuart Weitzman “Muse” clutch completed the look. And of course her hair was styled perfectly in her signature loose waves. Once the ceremony had concluded, Kate and William headed to Canberra airport, where the Duchess doffed her hat, scooped up Prince George — himself looking sharp in pink overalls and a red cardigan — and waved goodbye.
