This includes running lead on the Met Gala, which is among PEOPLE.com's top-trafficked red carpet events every year, interviewing the industry's top influencers (including all the Kardashian-Jenners), and breaking A-list celeb news (a New Jersey shore native, it is no surprise that her favorite interview ever was with Bruce Springsteen). And Kate Hudson‘s latest designs for the Spring 2014 collection of her Fabletics workout line are designed to give you that ego boost even before you start your sweat session. Stefanie Keenan/Getty “I really wanted to make women feel like there was a sexiness to the clothes, without it being too revealing,” the actress, 35, tells PEOPLE. “I think it’s fun to wear [clothes that show] little peeks of skin, so I did a lot of T-shirts that have cutouts and added a little bit more detail to the sports bras, which makes it really fun.” While Hudson is best known for her stunning red carpet looks, she says her Fabletics designs are much more in line with her day-to-day style. “I obviously love clothes, and in my life I get opportunities to wear very high fashion, really fun girlie stuff, but this is my [everyday] life — wearing leggings, whether I’m working out in them or just going out with my friends and running around with my kids,” she says. As for her exercise routine, Hudson maintains it’s all about varying her workouts.”I switch it up all the time, whether it’s as simple as just getting on an elliptical or treadmill to taking a spinning class to dancing to running around with my kids. I’ll try anything. I don’t know if I’d get into bodybuilding, but if I had a movie that meant I had to build up, I think it would actually be really fun to see what my body could do!” RELATED PHOTOS: The workout gear celebs and editors love Hudson hopes to instill her passion for staying active in her sons, Ryder, 10, and Bingham, 2. “They learn from what they see, so I think they see how active [I am],” she says. And it seems like they are already taking after their mom’s passion for physical activity. “Ryder’s always been involved in sports or karate, and he’s obsessed with hockey,” says the star. “Bing loves to play soccer. He loves football, and he’s actually kind of into golf. He’s got a really good little golf swing for a 2-year-old.” Have you tried out the actress’s workout gear yet? What’s your fitness routine?
