Admit it: You still get excited every time you see your boyfriend (or any friend!) present you with a red-and-pink striped Victoria’s Secret bag on Valentine’s Day. The lingerie giant does V-Day better than anyone, and we caught up with Angels Candice Swanepoel and Karlie Kloss to get their take on the romantic holdiay.

“It’s one of the only holidays that Victoria’s Secret can really go wild with,” Swanepoel told people at the brand’s Bombshell Day event in N.Y.C. “It’s for women to indulge and enjoy feeling feminine and being sexy.”

As for what she wants from boyfriend Hermann Nicoli, Swanepoel remained coy. “It’s his opportunity to impress and do something different. I love getting flowers always. Even if we’re not together, like say I’m working somewhere, and he calls and delivers flowers. That’s really nice.”

For Kloss, Feb. 14 is a very special anniversary: “In fifth grade my crush met me in the coat room and gave me my very first kiss,” the model shared.

Speaking of crushes, we’ve totally been obsessed with Kloss’s swingy bob since she lopped off her long hair. And now that it’s known as the “Karlie cut,” she says that you shouldn’t expect her to pull a Jennifer Aniston and get extensions anytime soon.

“Hair always grows back and I think that’s the fun part. It’s an expression of your style,” she explained. “You can style your hair in the same way you choose an accessory. I play with colors, I play with cuts. I love short hair. It’s so freeing, it’s really refreshing. I’ve had long hair my whole life, and it’s fun to have something new. And everything else on me is very long — I’m long in every direction so to have short hair is a great change!”
