While Kanye West may be a living god in his own mind, unfortunately, that doesn’t always translate over to real life. Last week, the rapper went on one of his typical Twitter tirades, saying Kylie Jenner would never sign a contract with Puma because they’re an Adidas family through and through. Well, it looks like Ye’s going to be eating some crow this week after Kylie’s announcement that the deal is official, and he’s not happy about it.

On Wednesday, the 18-year-old confirmed that she will in fact be fronting Puma’s Spring/Summer 2016 campaign which will launch in April. This news come a mere week after Kanye tweeted, “1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!”

TMZ caught up with The Life of Pablo creator outside LAX on Wednesday and managed to ask him a few questions about now having a two sneaker brand family. West confessed, “[Kylie] had already signed and I was mad for a little bit. I’m really happy for her though,” before going on to praise Adidas’ unwavering support of his vision.

But clearly, old habits die hard as Kylie was spotted out and about in New York yesterday wearing a Yeezus-approved ensemble, still rocking her second favorite pair of Adidas sneaks (after the boost 350s, of course) their tubular defiant shoes paired with leather leggings, an oversize Vetements sweatshirt, and bomber jacket. Still, considering the latest news, it sounds like the Yeezys could have some stiff competition for Shoe of the Year in 2016.

What do you think of Kylie’s new Puma contract? Are you excited to see what she does for the brand? Would you rather have a pair of Yeezys or Kylie x Puma?
