A Marc Jacobs’ muse is an effortlessly cool girl, a superlative fit for Kaia Gerber. So it makes perfect sense that Cindy Crawford‘s 15-year-old daughter has been named the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty for 2017.
“I’m so excited and honored that my first beauty campaign is with Marc Jacobs, an icon in the fashion industry,” Gerber told Allure. “I’m obsessed with his beauty products, and like everything else he does, Marc Jacobs Beauty makes you feel feminine and playful.”
The designer released behind-the-scenes photos from Kaia’s shoot on Twitter and Instagram Thursday, showing the breakout fashion star posing with voluminous crimped hair by Guido Palau and styled in colorful exaggerated eyeliner by Diane Kendal.
With an impressive IMG modeling contract, Kaia has already booked campaigns for Alexander Wang, Miu Miu and Chrome Hearts.
In addition, she scored her first solo cover for the September issue of Pop magazine, just months after sharing the Vogue Paris cover with her famous mom.
And on top of all her glorious successes, Kaia was dubbed Female Model of the Year at The Daily Front Row’s 2016 Fashion Media Awards during New York Fashion Week. Fittingly, Marc Jacobs presented her with the honor.
