Famous faces posting no-makeup selfies is not a new concept (just check out this roundup of stars who ditched cosmetics). What is new? TV hosts going bare, on the air! Just this week Julie Chen, Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen dared to show their makeup-free selves on their respective talk shows. Check out the photos below!

Julie Chen before & after

Two years ago during The Talk‘s “season premiere of secrets” Chen announced that she underwent plastic surgery to widen her eye shape in her early 20s. And she was subsequently attacked on social media for failing to address any other surgery she may have had done (people accused her of also getting a nose job and cheek implants).

So to prove her critics wrong, on Tuesday’s show she conducted a time-lapse video, which documented her getting her makeup done before the episode aired (a reverse barefaced reveal, if you will). It started with a clean-faced Chen settling into the makeup chair (who displayed the same shaped nose she did before ever undergoing any plastic surgery) and across ten seconds we saw her beauty team contour up a storm. The results? Her looking completely gorgeous. The takeaway? Contouring can transform.

And across the daytime network landscape, on the FABLife show, hosts also debuted their “naked from the neck-up” selves. Banks, Teigen and co-hosts Leah Ashley and Lauren Makk celebrated their nude-themed show by wiping off their makeup on air to reveal their makeup-free selves.

You may remember, Banks is no stranger to the au naturel look (we’re guessing she probably gave a pretty awesome pep talk to the others before the show). In June, she posted a dramatic up-close makeup-free pic with an empowering Instagram caption saying, “Well, this morn, I decided to give you a taste of the really real me,” she shared, adding, “I wanted to smooth out my dark circles so badly!!! But I was like, ‘Naw, Ty. Show ’em the REAL you.'”
