Lifestyle Style Julianne Moore Named the New Face of Talbots By People Staff Published on October 13, 2010 06:15 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Getty First she was Tom Ford’s leading lady, then Bulgari’s, and now, Julianne Moore is taking on Talbots’ latest campaign for spring 2011. She’ll join an increasingly fashion-forward roster for the retailer, which caused quite a stir when it signed ’90s supermodel Linda Evangelista as the face of its fall campaign. “Julianne Moore represents a timeless, ageless, natural American beauty that this brand has always represented,” says Talbots chief creative officer, Michael Smaldone in a release. “The fortyish woman embodies a confidence and strength that comes with experience. Being ‘fortyish’ also represents a time in her life, that she buys what she respects, wears only what she loves and covets the things that become signatures of her personal style. Our brand’s vision is Tradition Transformed—Ms. Moore is just that to us.” Moore, who is shooting the new spot this week, will be captured by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and featured in Talbots’ store windows and catalog, as well as spring issues of magazines. And while she probably won’t bare as much skin as she did in her exotic ads for Bulgari, we can’t wait to see Moore light up Talbots’ new campaign! –Jessie Goldberg
