Neil Lane knows a thing or two about making dreams come true.
For over a decade, he’s designed dazzling diamond rings as the go-to jeweler for ABC’s hit Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises. Countless Hollywood A-list couples, including Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, John Krasinki and Emily Blunt, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, and Matthew and Camila McConaughey, have turned to Lane to create engagement rings or wedding jewelry for their special day. And now, Lane is looking to share his experience and inspiration in a new book, Style Your Wedding with Neil Lane, hitting shelves in October.
“I’m thrilled about it and in many ways, it’s something I’ve been working towards my entire career,” Lane tells PEOPLE exclusively of the book, which is positioned as an ultimate wedding guidebook that will go far beyond just Lane’s signature ring expertise. “There’s never been a wedding book like this from the perspective of a jewelry designer, or someone like me who has been involved in Hollywood and glamour and been around brides and weddings from the get-go.”
Tapping his unique perspective, Lane will walk readers through the process of selecting and refining their personal wedding aesthetic, with themes ranging from rustic to romantic and vintage to elegant.
While jewelry may take center stage, the book tackles all aspects of a couple’s wedding journey, “from how to put a table together or style your venue to how to pick out china or personalize a setting so your guest feels special,” he says. “I’m using my 9 million years of studying aesthetics. I’ve been collecting china and silver for 20 to 30 years. I’m not a wedding planner but I know styling and expanding in this way was almost second-nature to me.”
While there will be plenty of tips in Style Your Wedding with Neil Lane, he says it was especially important to showcase a couple’s emotional journey as they plan their big day.
“While I see the glamour in weddings, I also see the sentimentality and I am looking to celebrate the affection and love between the two people in a couple,” says Lane. “I’m involved in the personal journey from the beginning, as soon as the couple is sitting in front of me picking out their ring or bands. With this book, I’m looking to collaborate with the couple and I think I bring something to the table that no one has before. In the end, it really comes down to celebrating love.”
Style Your Wedding with Neil Lane will be released by DK, an imprint of Penguin Random House, in October.
