Jessica Simpson may own a billion dollar fashion company, but when she’s not busy being a total boss she likes to dress down — way down.

The mogul told PeopleStyle that she doesn’t really consider herself to be a style star because she’s “normally in sweats.”

“I wear sweatpants but I have to wear heels with them,” she said at the QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale Gala” Tuesday night, adding that she has a “warehouse dedicated” to her footwear.

But Simpson traded in her sweats for a chic Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit (“It makes me look taller”) at the event, which she teamed with a Charlotte Olympia clutch and Jessica Simpson shoes, explaining, “Unfortunately you can’t see them.”

The star said she gravitated toward the black designer onesie because she’s currently having a “bell bottoms moment.”

“They make your legs look skinny. I’ve been trying to push a bell bottom for so long,” she shared. “That’s all I ever wore in Dukes of Hazzard. I just love a good flare jean, and I’ve been trying to push it with all our buyers and now finally they’ve picked up on the trend. So now I’m going to over-exaggerate it as much as I can.” (Case in point: The statement pants and multicolor fur coat she wore out earlier this week.)

Simpson said she makes sure to keep all her famous denim stored in her closet, including those famous Daisy Dukes.

“I’m a vintage buyer so I collect,” she explained. “I have all my prom dresses. All my music video and movie outfits. I went to a lot of proms. That’s why we have a warehouse.”

She also saves her clothes in hopes that her 4-year-old daughter, Maxwell Drew, will wear them.

“I’m a keeper for my daughter. All I want to do is keep everything,” she shared. “And everybody is like ‘Throw it out, throw it out.’ But I’m like, ‘No, it’s so important, this is the moment one guy gave me a rose…’ I have a lot of memories. I keep memories. The clothes are memories.”
