Jessica Alba is always one of Hollywood’s best dressed, but lately, the mom-to-be has been modifying her look to accommodate her growing belly. “It’s tough because your body, the shape is totally different,” Alba told PEOPLE Thursday night during a dinner at Il Sole in Los Angeles celebrating the new book What To Wear, Where. “But I do feel more feminine.” Looking radiant in a Proenza Schouler dress and Aperlai pumps, the actress said she prefers “chic and timeless” over “lyrca and loud prints” — which makes dressing for baby all the more effortless. “When you have bigger breasts and bottom and tummy, [you] embrace the flowy dress,” she explained. “And I [will] probably wear a lot more boy cuts. I think [it’s about] just getting to know my body and what I feel good in, and knowing what silhouettes are flattering.” During dinner, Alba cozied up to husband Cash Warren and swapped stories with her equally stylish 9-months-pregnant pal, Rachel Zoe. Luckily for the actress, already mom to 2-year-old daughter Honor, pregnancy has been a bit less stressful the second time around. “It’s definitely not as daunting,” she said. “I definitely popped earlier than I did with Honor because the second time around your body has the memory [of the first pregnancy]. Having the belly grow is fun and exciting.” —Michelle Ward
