Kim Kardashian West‘s fave hobby has officially been marked as a nationally recognized holiday, so to celebrate, we’ve tapped British model Georgia May Jagger to offer up a few of her best tips and tricks on how to find (and photograph!) your best angle today, tomorrow and beyond.

We caught up with the 24-year-old model during a recent Sunglasses Hut event (she’s a longtime brand ambassador!) to learn all about her new “Shades of You” ad campaign, which was shot in the gorgeous Colombia. In between snaps in the N.Y.C. sunshine, she shared some of her best selfie-taking tips, below.

1. Aim high.
“My mom [supermodel royalty Jerry Hall] always says to go higher. So the higher the better — don’t take any [photos] too low!”

2. Find your light.
“Always try to get in natural light.”

3. Paint your pout.
“I’m a big fan of having fun with lipstick — of every color — and I’m very experimental with it. I wore a dark green one the other day — just have fun with it.”

4. Get Shady.
Sunglasses are key, she says, “for sure.”
