It's Mani Monday! Try This Christian Louboutin Nail Art (It's Way Easier Than It Looks)

The red, black and gorgeous nail art (inspired by red-bottomed shoes) that you need on your fingertips immediately

Black and red are everywhere right now. First Jennifer Aniston wore this two-toned Antonio Berardi dress to the Horrible Bosses 2 premiere.

Then, we laid our eyes on this epic mani (essentially Aniston’s ensemble translated into fingertips) created by celebrity manicurist Madeline Poole for Christian Louboutin Beauté. Since she wasn’t available to stop by and lacquer us up, we got the scoop on how to create this mani masterpiece ourselves.

First, you apply a nail primer to fill any ridges and to ensure a smooth polish application.

Paint on just one coat of red polish (Poole used Rouge Louboutin). Let it dry completely.

Next, layer on two coats of black lacquer but leave a “crescent” of red visible along your cuticle. Let it dry for ten minutes.

Top this with a coat of clear, and while its still wet, drop strass crystals (available at any craft store) into the polish. You can use a cuticle stick to gently move them into place.

That’s it! Since it is Mani Monday, we think you need to test drive this immediately.

P.S. If anyone asks you, we want this limited edition crystal-coated Starlight polish, which inspired the manicure, for the holidays. Sure it’s $675, but we’ve been really really good this year.
