Lauren Conrad isn’t the only busy blonde Hills alum in town. Kristin Cavallari‘s resumé has been filling up over the last few months, as she’s gone from new mom to shoe designer — and now she’s launching her own eponymous jewelry line with Pascal Mouawad (the man behind House of Harlow 1960 and Belle Noel).
The 19-piece collection features gold necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets (ranging from $15 – $42) inspired by the reality star’s personal style. “[It’s] very delicate, simple pieces [that give off] an effortless look,” Cavallari tells PEOPLE. “You can literally wear them every day, and you can layer and stack them to wear into the night.”
And while the accessories have a “beachy, fun, simple” California vibe, another state has influenced the star’s wardrobe: Illinois. “I dress down a little bit more, just because people don’t put as much effort into how they look in Chicago,” she says of spending time in her fiancé Jay Cutler‘s hometown. “It’s kind of nice because I can go there and take a little bit of a break, and then it’s fun to come to L.A. where I can dress up.”
But Midwest style does have its perks: it’s given Cavallari an excuse to indulge in something she’s been lusting after. “I’m a huge fan of Burberry coats, and living in L.A. I never had a reason to buy one,” she says. “Now that I’m in Chicago, Jay gave me one for Christmas last year and I’m just obsessed with it.” No kidding. Does he have any brothers?
