Ireland Baldwin Debuts David Bowie Tattoo at Fashion Week
Fresh ink for Fashion Week! Ireland Baldwin brought her stepmom Hilaria and baby sister Carmen along with her to the Badgley Mischka show on Tuesday — she also brought her new tattoo.
The 19-year-old model debuted a sketch of David Bowie on her upper arm, the same arm that also has tats of Hello Kitty and a large floral design. The Bowie image is based on the iconic artwork on the musician’s sixth album, Aladdin Sane.
She revealed on Instagram that the tat was designed by celeb-loved N.Y.C. based tattoo artist, Jon Boy, who recently shared a snap on Instagram of Ireland with her dad Alec Baldwin.
Aside from sitting pretty in the front row, Ireland also took her model skills to the runway, walking in the Marist Reprise: Son Jung Wan show over the weekend in three different looks, including everything from a formal evening gown to a pair of denim shorts and a sheer tank top.
“I just wanted to take a moment to show gratitude to everyone who has continued to stand by my side through all that took place and through all that life will continue to throw at me,” she wrote.
I’m proud to say I will not be knocked down and alone next time around. I have never been so supported and felt so loved in my life,” she said. “I’m happy to say I feel like Ireland again and it’s amazing that I can actually say that because it’s been a really long time and I was starting to forget what she was like.”
