Denise Richards is taking on kidney cancer — and she’s looking great while doing it. The actress recently collaborated with ShoeDazzle for a second time, launching two sexy heels as part of the brand’s Celebrity Shoe Design Program for Charity.

This time around, Richards teamed up with a young teen named Taylor Filorimo (known to friends as “Tay”) to design two shoes to support the Kidney Cancer Association. Tay was suffering from the same strain of kidney cancer that took Richards’s mother in 2007 — and sadly, Tay passed away in September.

“Tay loved fashion, and it was exciting for her to design a shoe for ShoeDazzle to help raise money and bring awareness to this rare type of cancer,” Richards tells PEOPLE. “Tay’s grace and positivity as she battled the disease was truly inspirational, and something I will never forget.”

Tay’s shoe, named for her, is a taupe closed-toe pump with crystal embellishments and a hidden platform. It also has a special interior color, “Pray 4 Tay” green, which she created. Richards’s shoe, the “Denise,” is a strappy light-pink open-toe platform, also with crystal embellishments. Both styles have the words “Live 4 Tay” stamped inside to honor the late teen.

“I am honored to have had the chance to work so closely with Tay on this project,” Richards says in a release. “Tay was so excited to design a shoe and I am heartbroken she will not get to see the finished product.” However, she will be helping others who are fighting her fight: 100 percent of profits from the sale of both shoes will benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.
