Lifestyle Style Hilary Duff's Textured Lob, Brittany Snow's Bob and More Subtle Star Hair Changes See the stars' brand-new dos By Sarah Kinonen Published on September 22, 2015 03:09 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Amid all the Emmys madness this weekend, a handful of our favorite stars — Hilary Duff, Brittany Snow, Alexa Chung and Ariana Grande — debuted fresh new haircuts. Getty; Courtesy Hilary Duff Duff, who took this summer to really experiment with her hair (remember her blue mermaid hair? Or the pretty pink look?), showed off a subtle mane change on Instagram Sunday: a textured mid-length style. Celeb hair stylist Nikki Lee, of Nine Zero One Salon, was the mastermind behind the layered look, and took off a few inches of the star’s signature long blonde tresses do to create the piecey style. But Duff isn’t the only star to go short. Snow’s now sporting a chic, shoulder-grazing bob! The Pitch Perfect 2 star showed off her short new do while praising her stylist, Lindsey Dupuis Bledsoe, for the gold beaded Luis Antonio dress she’s wearing in an Instagram photo Sunday. (And she’s not lying — that dress is gorgeous!) While Snow may have experimented with just about every hair hue in the book, this is the shortest she’s ever cut her blonde strands. “I have had every hair color,” she previously told Yahoo Style. “I joke with my hair colorist. She keeps sheets of paper on every hair color that I’ve had so she has records of it all. She’s done my hair since I was 15 and I guess I have a thick folder going because I’ve had so many different hair colors.” RELATED PHOTOS: The Very Best of Beauty from the 2015 Emmy Awards Another star to jump on the bob bandwagon? Everyone’s favorite It Brit girl. “@georgenorthwood cut all my hair off so you don’t have to. Short hair do care,” Chung captioned the debut snapshot on Instagram Sunday. The star’s cute new do, courtesy of British hair stylist George Northwood, is a slightly shorter version of the lob she’s known for (and that’s launched thousands of short hair Pinterest boards). The difference this time? Chung added lots of texture to the style to create a layered look. And her signature fringe? The bangs are still there — just slightly swept up into the new cut. (Don’t worry.) And lastly, Grande, who only sports her sky-high ponytail these days due to her bleached and damaged strands from her days on the Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat, embraced her natural curls — and then showed them off photo shoot-style on Instagram Monday. “peekaboo healthy curls long time no see,” she captioned the curly do snapshot. Does this mean the star will be retiring her signature pony? Time will only tell, but her hair does look much healthier than she’s let on. “My actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down … As annoying as it is for y’all to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it’s all that works for now (and I’m comfortable for the first time in years),” she previously explained in an Instagram rant.
