Halloween Queen Heidi Klum Reveals Lots Of Prosthetics Will Be Used For Her Costume This Year

The reigning queen of Halloween, aka Heidi Klum, is at it again!

Each year, the supermodel goes above and beyond for the holiday with spectacular costumes that have seen her transform into Jessica Rabbit, a giant butterfly, a realistic old granny and most recently, dressing as herself with five clones. After catching up with the America’s Got Talent judge at the season finale on Wednesday, it seems her costume for 2017 will be just as over the top.

“This year I’m going to be scary,” Klum, 44, told PEOPLE. “Not Scary Spice, but I’m going to be scary because last year I was just me, and I had five clones.”

Last year’s clone costume certainly required less prosthetics and special effects than Klum has used in the past, so she’s ready to surprise people once again with a complete transformation.

“I thought, ‘OK, this year I’m going to have to give it some and do my prosthetics again and go a little crazy so people don’t recognize me,'” she said. “I have to do a lot of rehearsal for this because I have to do something funny, but I can’t do a dress rehearsal because there’s many prosthetics so it’s a one-time shot.”

She added: “I always have to keep my fingers and my toes crossed that it works out because I never know until that night if it’s going to work.”

Earlier this month, Klum took to Instagram to post videos of the early stages of her costume prep including having prosthetics of her hands and face made.

Traditionally, Klum has always revealed her costume at her annual star-studded Halloween bash.
