Last week, Harry Styles shattered the hearts of One Direction fans around the world after revealing he chopped his hair off with an Instagram photo of his freshly-cut braid. And now, just days after the earth-shattering cut, the singer has stepped out from hiding to debut his way shorter, cropped do — and you’ve got to see it.

The ex-boybander, 22, was snapped out in London with his brand-new look — a cropped style that might possibly be the shortest cut we’ve ever seen him wear — concealed under a black newsboy cap, giving us another reason to panic. Is the new style that awkward he feels the need to hide it from his beloved fans? Just show us your hair, Harry!

Last Friday, Styles made a rather large hair change, chopping off a six-inch ponytail from his signature shoulder-length strands (and posted an Instagram photo with a single-word caption, “Whoops.”). The star donated the large hunk of hair to Little Princess Trust, an organization that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the United Kingdom and Ireland whom have lost their own hair during cancer treatment.
