If you’re off today (lucky!), we have two important things for you to do: watch Blue Crush on Netflix and reminisce about Kate Bosworth‘s quirky, bold shoe collection. Why? The actress turns 32 today, that’s why.

Yes, Bosworth has an amazing sense of style, but every time she hits the red carpet we immediately look at her shoes first. She’s not afraid to step things up in the footwear department. Here’s a quick recap of her most memorable styles over the past four years.

In 2011, a very-blonde Bosworth attended the Burberry Prorsum fall/winter London fashion show in a head-to-toe look by the label, including a pair of quilted, cap-toe booties embellished with a leather strap. (What else would you style a heavily-beaded pencil skirt and motto jacket with?) The following year the actress attended the CFDA Fashion Awards in cutout Altuzzara design (an editor favorite!) and black ankle-cuff pumps. Sure the Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra shoes might seem like a safe choice for her, but the star definitely has the perfect feet for them, plus, they’re velvet!

At the Sundance film festival in 2013, Bosworth hit the A.C.O.D. premiere wearing a caramel leather skirt and fur top (both Calvin Klein collection) and retro white vinyl boots. (Either you’re a fan of these shoes or they still give you nightmares, regardless you have to admit Bosworth is the only person on Earth who can pull them off.) And just when you thought she couldn’t get any edgier, the star whipped our her brown Coach clogs last month for the store’s Rodeo Drive event in Beverly Hills.

The fashionista’s collaboration with Matisse will hit stores in March of this year, so if you’re a fan of her unique shoe-style sense, start saving up. (The line will run from $295 to $505.)

“The truth is, shoes have to be wearable and functional,” she told WWD of her footwear mantra. “There are some women who wear 7-inch stilettos and run around. That’s not me. That’s not the collection. I want to feel comfortable and also very fashionable in my life.”

Is Bosworth one of your favorite style stars? Which pair of shoes are your favorite? Sound off below.
