Halle Berry Celebrates Being 50 by Launching a Lingerie Line
The actress is not only designing her own underwear, she's modeling it
It’s no secret that Halle Berry has one of the best bodies in Hollywood. In fact, at this point she’s graced the cover of enough magazines emblazoned with “sexiest woman alive” to warrant her own lifetime achievement award. Given that she’s also had a stellar award-winning acting career and has long served as the face of Revlon, it seems almost unfair that one woman should get to be so blessed. But as most people will tell you, beauty starts with a whole lot of self-confidence, and what inspires confidence more than some killer lingerie? Now you can wear the exact same underwear set (and hopefully gain the exact same self-assurance) as Halle Berry when she launches her lingerie line next year.
It seems not only is the actress designing this lingerie line, Scandale by Halle Berry, she’s also modeling it. In the behind-the-scenes image the Monster’s Ball star posted to her Instagram account on Monday, Halle has her back turned to the camera wearing a soaking wet white t-shirt and a pair of lacy black underwear, presumably from her collection. According to the now private Instagram account, the brand will launch January 2017, but as diehard fans already know, Berry officially launched this line back in 2015.
The company is originally an 80-year-old French brand, which Berry acquired a stake in and helped bring stateside in 2014, before launching it at Target the following year. It’s still unclear whether this Instagram shot signals a full-blown re-launch for the brand or simply the release of a new collection, but either way you might want to clear room in your underwear drawer.
In the caption for the teaser image, Berry wrote, “The big FIVE OH has taught me to be FEARLESS! I’m about to launch a lingerie line at 50. Here’s what I know for sure…it’s never too early or too late to do what EVER makes you happy.” Clearly, Halle knows age is just a number, even if you happen to look totally ageless.
