The Girl Loves Pearls! Cardi B Wears a 24-Year-Old Vintage Mugler Outfit to the Grammys
Cardi B got decked out in a high-fashion vintage Mugler design (from 1995!) as she showed major P.D.A. with ex Offset at the Grammys
The Grammy-nominated rapper, 26, posed alongside the Migos rapper, 27, holding his face and kissing tongue-to-tongue for photographers on the carpet.
Cardi got decked out in some serious high-fashion designer clothes for her second appearance of music’s biggest awards show. The rapper went with a vintage Mugler design pulled straight from the archives from the label’s Fall 1995 Couture collection.
The unique gown appears to feature a sequin nude bodysuit and long black skirt blooming out of a dramatic clam shell. The design featured a beautiful pearl belt draped around Cardi’s hips, full-length pastel pink gloves, a large pearl bib choker necklace and a twisted pearl beehive atop of her head.
She completed the look with 28-carat double drop diamond earrings by Gismondi1754.
Cardi told PEOPLE a week before the Grammys at the Super Bowl that she did a total of four fittings to perfect the look.
“It’s a very big night, like, I’ve been having anxiety,” she told us. “I haven’t been able to think straight because I’m just thinking about that day, not only do you got a performance that it’s got to be flawless, you’re also hoping that you win something.”
Fans had mixed reactions about Cardi’s look on Twitter. “Cardi B’s Grammy outfit makes me want the entire album she wrote as a backdrop soundtrack to watching the little mermaid….. and I’d like nothing more. Thank you. 🧜♀️🦀,” one fan wrote. But another fan disagreed, tweeting, “Ok so I am a Cardi b fan….. i mean since day 1 but this Grammy dress … Issa no for me.”
Someone else thought the look gave of The Little Mermaid vibes.

She famously learned of her nominations moments after she appeared in court on assault and reckless endangerment charges in connection with a fight earlier this year at a strip club in Queens, New York.

When the outlet’s photographer asked her who she was talking to, she replied, “My significant other.”
A source close to the couple — who share 6-month-old daughter Kulture Kiari — recently confirmed to PEOPLE that they were getting back together.
The insider told PEOPLE, “He has been pursuing her hard and trying to convince her to get back together with him since the day they split.”
The couple are “just taking things slow,” she said, adding, “We have a baby right now. That’s like our real big focus.”
The couple split late last year amid rumors of infidelity. As the rumors circulated, Offset admitted, “I was partaking in activity that I shouldn’t have been partaking in, and I apologize. You know what I’m saying? For breaking your heart, for breaking our promise, for breaking God’s promise and being a selfish, messed up husband.”
Cardi and Offset first reunited during a vacation in Puerto Rico days after he pleaded for her forgiveness in a video message, and crashed her performance during Rolling Loud festival with 2,000 stem roses that spelled out “Take Me Back Cardi” to beg her to reignite their romance.
