You can’t expect the biggest names in music to take the stage in the same dress in which they walked the red carpet — even if that means a five-minute quick change before the opening number, à la Taylor Swift. That’s good news for us, since we get twice the style to discuss. Below, see every star’s carpet-to-stage transformation, and vote on which is your fave!

Adele: Regardless of sound issues, the star’s style was completely pitch-perfect. She traded her black velvet-and-sequin Givenchy Haute Couture gown for a similarly-shaped burgundy gown, also made custom for her by the brand, and added giant Harry Winston earrings to go with her updo.

Demi Lovato: She went for a serious vibe to start choosing a plunging skirt suit which she accessorized with a Loree Rodkin bodychain. She upped the cleavage and the bling for the Lionel Richie tribute, adding a $2.4 million Mouawad diamond necklace to her sharp, shirtless suit.

Taylor Swift: On her way into the woods, Taylor selected a torso-centric Atelier Versace two-piece with a multicolor Lorraine Schwartz choker. On her way out of the woods, however, she went monochromatic in her sparkly sheer-paneled onesie and custom Stuart Weitzman booties.

Carrie Underwood Grammys 2016

Carrie Underwood: The country star was all about the glamour in her Nicolas Jebran gown and blingy Valentine’s Day gift from her husband, but her low-key performance with Sam Hunt had a girlier vibe thanks to her Maria Lucia Hohan dress and Sylva & Cie jewelry.

Selena Gomez: She traded one sexy look for another, transitioning from a sparkling Calvin Klein Collection gown to a slinky, cutout scarlet Cushnie et Ochs gown almost immediately.

Lady Gaga: No one can say the singer wasn’t committed to her David Bowie tribute, taking the red carpet in a custom blue paisley Marc Jacobs coatdress with mega platforms (and oh, that mullet), then changing into another custom Marc Jacobs jumpsuit stitched with images that represented Bowie’s career. She topped everything off with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Justin Bieber: The Biebz advises us to love ourselves, but we can’t help but also loving him just a tiny bit in his two Saint LAurent looks — one a more traditional white dinner jacket over a black outfit (with a Cartier signet ring from Beladora), the other a funkier leopard bomber and backwards hat.

Ellie Goulding: The singer was all sweetness in a blush Stella McCartney gown and Bulgari jewels, then traded that in for some rocker edge in a Suzie Turner Couture sheer gown and mussed-up mane to duet with Andra Day.

Andra Day: Day stayed more consistent in her transformation, carrying the pristine white fur vibes over from her red carpet walk but going even bigger for her performance.

Who was your favorite overall?
