Golden Globes 2016: Bryce Dallas Howard Buys Her Own Dress, Likes Having 'Options for a Size 6'

Bryce Dallas Howard didn’t try on a ton of gowns to find the perfect Golden Globes dress. In fact, the actress skipped fittings all together and went on her own shopping trip. That’s right, she bought her gown!

“I’m wearing Jenny Packham — I just picked it up at Neiman’s [Marcus] this week,” she said on the red carpet of her three-quarter sleeve navy sequin gown, worn with Irene Neuwirth jewelry and a Kotur clutch.

The actress added that she prefers selecting her own looks before big event.

“I like having lots of options for a size six as opposed to maybe one option,” she shared. “So I always go to department stores for this kind of stuff.”

Stars usually collaborate with stylists who pull sample size-gowns from several designers, or some celebs choose to have their gowns custom made, but Howard is making her own rules and breaking down sizing stereotypes by buying her own dress.

This isn’t the first time she stopped at Neiman’s before a red carpet. For the Jurassic World premiere in Hollywood, the actress looked gorgeous in a navy Emilio Pucci gown which she also purchased at a department store.
