We knew there would be a pants moment at the Golden Globes. But this year we got lucky with not one, but two stars who skipped the floor-skimming gowns in favor of looks that were all about the trousers: Emma Stone and Lorde!

Stone, 26, selected a formal jumpsuit featuring a silver sequin bustier top and black pants with a huge bow tied at the back. “It’s a jumpsuit situation,” she said of her Lanvin look, adding, “I thought it would go off in the metal detector.”

Lorde, 18, stepped out on the carpet in a custom Narciso Rodriguez suit design, featuring high-waisted pants and oversize blazer and midriff-baring crop top. But the most eye-catching part of her look (aside from those abs)? All those Neil Lane jewels the singer got to wear — including a 100-carat diamond platinum “Cleopatra” necklace and 7 diamond and platinum rings.

“I’m terrified something is going to happen, and I’ll have to work at the jewelry company for the rest of my life,” she quipped on the carpet.

Now all we want to know is how Taylor Swift feels about her pals pants-wearing skills? What do you think of these looks? Whose is your favorite? Do you like gowns better?
