Actress Giselle Eisenberg is ready for Halloween! Like many young women this year, the 10-year-old star is channeling Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn for the holiday, and there is a very special reason behind her costume choice.
Margot Robbie, who plays the bold super-villain in DC Comics thriller, was Eisenberg’s first on-screen movie mom in the award-winning film Wolf on Wall Street, in which the young actress made her big-screen debut as Robbie’s and Leonardo DiCaprio’s daughter at just 5-years-old. And it’s no surprise that the distinguished actress left a lasting impression on Eisenberg in many ways, so she wanted to honor that with her costume this year.
“I had a lot of movie and TV moms but Margot Robbie was my first mom in the Wolf on Wall Street and I really loved her,” Eisenberg told PeopleStyle. “She plays Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, and I want to grow up to be like her so I thought having a Halloween costume like hers is step one.”
The rising star made sure to get every detail of the look perfect, from the ripped-up baseball tee to the bright red and blue spandex. She even tinted her pigtails with red and blue paint and smudged matching colorful eyeshadow over her eyes to get into character.
But it was the drawn-on tattoos that took the most time to create. The star revealed that her ink alone took 45 minutes for. “I think the tattoos are what takes the longest,” she shared, adding, “Some of them appear upside down because the character drew them on herself, so I made sure mine were similar.”

Luckily, Eisenberg has a day off from filming her family comedy, Life in Pieces, so she can hit the trick-or-treating circuit with her friends.
“Me and a group of three friends are going to go out trick or treating together and we’re going as a group of villains,” she said. “My friend Jessica is going as the Queen of Hearts and my friend Tessa is going as an evil clown.”
For past Halloweens, the young actress has channeled other powerful and free-spirited female characters including Elsa from Disney’s Frozen and Merida from Disney’s Brave.
When Eisenberg isn’t dressing up as her favorite on-screen idols, she stars as Sophie Hughes in the CBS hit comedy Life in Pieces alongside James Brolin and Zoe Lister-Jones. “I really love playing Sofia Hughes,” she shares. “We got to thank Justin [Adler] for creating her because she’s really smart. She sometimes knows more than everyone and I think playing her is a real treat. She is kind of a complicated character, but we love her.”
