Fur Stoles Are Having a Moment! See Why Stylish Celebs Are Loving the Accessory

This season many of our favorite style stars have been really upping their winter-wear selections by ditching the glittery A-lines for much more unconventional outfits. A team of style setters just stepped out in menswear-inspired suits. And now, we’ve noticed fur stoles have become the must-have item of the season. Just take a look at how Laverne Cox, Behati Prinsloo and more are styling the cozy accessory.

Laverne Cox attended the School of Rock musical premiere in a skintight black Haney dress, black tights and deep maroon lip. But what makes this fairly classic holiday cocktail-wear so noteworthy is her light green fur stole. We love that she stayed away from forest green to avoid looking too “holiday cheery” and that the chic accessory somehow makes her fierce posing game next level.

Next up is Prinsloo’s take. She made a standard black jumpsuit look way more luxe and glam thanks to her furry maroon accessory. And fittingly, she did her best modeling poses with it in an end-of-the-night selfie session.

And of course, there’s Queen Bey (the OG of the fur stole this season) with an all-out purple take on the trend at the Tidal concert in October. Not even 70 carats of rubies and 15 carats of fancy diamonds could distract us from her on-point stole game.

If you’re still hesitant you can pull off the look in real life, just look to street style guru Olivia Palermo. She pulled off the look last year (naturally she was a season ahead) by styling her Charlotte Simone scarf as an outerwear staple and finishing evening-wear accessory.
