Ever since One Direction went on their self-imposed hiatus, you may be suffering from a lack of four-part harmonies and hair updates from the boys in the band. We can’t help you with the former, but you no longer have to wait on the latter.

Niall Horan: Is now platinum blond and sporting a fresh new trim, courtesy of celebrity groomer Jason Schneidman, of Chris McMillan Salon. And because Niall would never deny you the privilege of up-to-the-moment hair updates, he shared the update on Instagram.

“Thanks to the main man @themensgroomer for sorting me out with a cut . Cheers jase,” he wrote.

Harry Styles: Basically is synonymous with his shaggy, Jagger-inspired shoulder-length curls, and though we know he’s not going to part ways with him anytime soon, the phrase “Harry Styles haircut” still sends a shiver down Directioners’ spines. Which is why when we recently learned that Styles sheared a few inches off of his long mane after a grooming session with Schneidman, we got nervous. Fortunately it was just an inch or two — just enough to freshen up the famous mane.

Liam Payne: Is going a little edgier lately — he sheared off all his hair shortly after they went on a break, but now he’s growing out the top rockabilly/David Beckham-inspired style. The singer’s freshly-shorn sides are thanks to the group’s mane man, Schneidman, who chopped off the singer’s floppy length at the top and buzzed the sides to a close crop. Now, though, the star’s short strands are beginning to grow in, which has us wondering: Should we expect another buzz cut in the near future?

Louis Tomlinson: Doesn’t have a hair change, but he maybe a little busy with the recent birth of his son.

Zayn Malik: Technically isn’t a 1D member anymore, but he does have a lot going on hairwise, so we’re including him anyway. Malik ditched his romantic pink do for basic black, which is a break from the weekly updates from pink to blonde to gray to even green.
