Lifestyle Style From Emma Stone's Stunning Tulle Gown to Heidi Klum's Lingerie-Inspired Slip Dress, See the Buzziest Looks of the Week See the red carpet looks (good and bad!) that we can't stop talking about By Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico is PEOPLE's Deputy Style Director, where she oversees the brand's digital Style and Beauty coverage. This includes running lead on the Met Gala, which is among PEOPLE.com's top-trafficked red carpet events every year, interviewing the industry's top influencers (including all the Kardashian-Jenners), and breaking A-list celeb news (a New Jersey shore native, it is no surprise that her favorite interview ever was with Bruce Springsteen). Brittany is a style contributor to People Every Day Podcast and has represented the brand on national TV programs including Good Morning America and The CW's two TV specials on the British Royals. You should stop by the office sometime to see us passionately debating, defending and delighting in celeb styles — the good, the bad and the wacky. This week, we round up two looks we were loving and one that didn’t quite do it for us — check ’em out below and let us know your faves in the comments! WireImage; Getty (2) Love It: Emma Stone’s Return to Red Carpet Glam. Full disclosure: My adoration for Emma Stone knows no bounds. I love when she takes fashion risks, but this Valentino gown was playing it pretty safe. That being said, it was still such a home run, thanks to that plunging neckline (she pulled it off effortlessly without looking over-the-top sexy), the yards of gorgeous tulle and the forest-green color, which looked amazing against her skin. She was basically the red carpet version of a ballerina. She wisely skipped the accessories and statement makeup (although that Revlon “Whimsical” lip hue is divine) – probably because she knew all eyes would be on her chic new bob, which is all I’ve been talking about this week. — Whitney Little, Editor of Engagement Love It: Kate Mara’s Swingy Shift. I’m loving the retro ’60S-inpsired dresses that are starting to hit the carpet. The silhouette is expected to be huge for fall, and Kate’s Miu Miu mini moment kicks of the trend the right way. From the shimmery paillettes to the crystal embellishments, the design feels like the perfect party dress. And I love that she went for a complete monochromatic look from her nude lip to her neutral ankle-strap platforms.— Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor Leave It: Heidi Klum’s Leopard Nightie: I was confused when the supermodel wore this to the America’s Got Talent viewing party on Tuesday. Obviously she’s a knock out and looks gorgeous in pretty much everything (helllloooooo, Emmys Heidi), but the fabric, length, and detail of this animal print slip dress feels way more fitting for bedtime than show time. I do think she could have “made it work” (sorry!) if she hemmed it below the knee, added a stack of bangles and edgier shoes, and topped it with tousled, beachy waves. — Loni Venti, Style and Beauty Editor See all the latest from the red carpet here!
