When it comes fashion and politics, France’s Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is just as admired for her sense of style as our very own Michelle Obama. And now, their First Lady is putting her good taste to use with a new role as guest editor of the weekly French fashion magazine, Madame Figaro, according to WWD. The former supermodel, who is known for her her enviable Dior wardrobe, will helm a new issue that will be photographed by Ellen von Unwerth and is set to include U2’s Bono, and her friends, French actresses Farida Khelfa and Marine Delterme. The First Lady will even sit for an interview in which she will discuss her charity foundation. As for fashion, the magazine has already requested designs from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier for the new editrix. And though our French might be a little rusty, we’ll be first in line to pick up Bruni-Sarkozy’s issue when it hits newsstands tomorrow–C’est magnifique!
