Felicity Jones Debuts Gorgeous Engagement Ring on the Red Carpet

She announced her engagement to director Charles Guard in May

We’re used to doing double takes when Felicity Jones hits the carpet (she consistently picks head-turning gowns), but for her look at Glamour UK‘s Women of the Year Awards in London, it was her blinding new bling that first caught our attention.

The Academy Award nominee stepped out for the first time wearing her engagement ring from her fiancé, director Charles Guard. It features a large round-cut diamond situated on top of a thin gold band.

To debut the ring, she stuck to her signature aesthetic in a romantic halter-style ball gown with elaborate ruffle detail along the bodice and neckline.

Jones has been dating her boyfriend, Guard, for two years before announcing their engagement in May. While they’re both notoriously private with their relationship and rarely step out together in public, Jones has said in the past that she’s a “romantic.”

“I am definitely romantic and I love romantic stories — that’s why I keep making romantic movies,” she told The Telegraph in 2014. “It’ funny how seeing a love story never gets boring because it’s the dream isn’t it? It’s the dream to have a true connection with another human being.”
