Ladies of London Star Juliet Angus Takes Us Inside Her Very Glamorous Fashion Week With Her Exclusive Photo Diary
TWO STORIES OF STYLE
London Fashion Week is like Christmas to me - luckily it comes around twice a year. I love British designers. My closet would be empty if it wasn’t for them!
What to wear? I’ve laid out some of my options. I love metallics, silver and gold are everywhere now in shoes, tops, dresses, bags. I like to make a statement without having to shout it.
I was going to do my own hair and makeup, but after a week of skiing in the mountains I realized I may want some help. So I used the Priv app and they were over within the hour. Lady Peanut Butter would love to join me in the FROW!
For days that I want to make sure I get all the right shots, I take Rebecca Botin, a London based photographer who I work with a lot on my blog photo shoots.
And we’re off! But first, a selfie. Feeling major Thelma & Louise vibes with my Gucci sunglasses and Violante Nessi scarf!
London Fashion Week, here I come! Today’s look: top and jeans both by ATTICO, trench by ACNE, white stilettos by Francesco Russo, sunglasses by Gucci and scarf by Violante Nessi.
IN THE BAG
Front row and center for Peter Pilotto, one of my favorite shows. Bold colors and prints parade the runway.
Hanging with Chris De Vos and Peter Pilotto, the team behind Peter Pilotto, after the show. Had to congratulate the boys for the fantastic show, and have them save me one of the velvet printed dresses!
A quick stop for a glass of white wine and a snack at The Delauney in Soho, which is close to a lot of the LFW venues. My husband, Gregor, and I like coming here with the kids before the theatre or shopping in Covent Garden. They have the best bread and french fries. Clearly I’m not sticking to the same diet as the models on the catwalks.
I had an extra tic for the David Koma show and invited my Ladies of London cast mate, Sophie Stanbury. We’ve become close since meeting on the show two years ago.
I love the energy of a fashion show! Seven minutes of eye candy, music and excitement around many great new pieces that will fill my wardrobe next fall!
When I first moved to London, I worked for a fashion PR agency and David Koma was one of the clients. I looked after him and now he looks after me, making sure I never miss one of his shows. He is such a sweetheart and so super talented. He also designs for Mugler which is showing in Paris next week!
Temperley was feminine, floral and fierce. Who wouldn’t want to boogie the night away in this purple sequin jumpsuit?!
FUN AND FLORAL
Mary Katrantzou never disappoints in her design detail. It’s impeccable! I’m always enchanted. The dream dress for any black tie event next winter.
The next day at Claridge’s for the Aspinal of London presentation. It was not hard to pick out my favorite piece from the new collection. How fantastic are these customized mini trunks?! (Today’s look: sweater by Liv Tyler for Belstaff, Dolce & Gabbana trousers and Gucci loafers.)
TALKING THE TALK
Thrilled to be speaking about the changing economy of fashion influence at London Fashion Week Festival. Such an honor!
What a great way to end London Fashion Week. Every year it just gets better and better! Wearing a look from a new, young British brand, RixoLondon.
