When Alexa Chung and Madewell announced their partnership in 2010, the mix of Chung’s downtown-girl style and Madewell’s casually cool aesthetic made perfect sense — and fans seemed to agree, snatching up her first collection as soon as it hit shelves.

Now the two have paired up again for the second Alexa Chung for Madewell collection, beginning with a campaign shot in and around Austin, Texas, to reflect the feel of a road trip. The photos also nod to the city’s ties to up-and-coming bands, which reflects Chung’s “heavy inspiration of girls in bands who live their looks,” according to the company’s statement.

Says Kin Yung Lee, head of Madewell Design, of the collaborative shoot: “We were all so in sync. Since it’s the second collection, it was like old friends getting together and creating something — and having a great time in the process!” Like what you see in the ads? The second Alexa Chung for Madewell collection will hit stores and on Sept. 22.
