“All right. I typically hate celebrity fragrances,” Adam Levine admits in the first few seconds of this video, promoting his (what else?) celebrity fragrance.

Of course, that’s not news — he’s been enduring teasing about his latest endeavor for months now.

But in this two-minute spot (directed by Travis Schneider) for his two new fragrances, he makes a pretty convincing argument for why he went back on his initial celeb scent ban.

In between engine-revving shots of men on motorcycles, models getting risqué and Levine in a beat-up tee, the Maroon 5 frontman says “I want[ed] to be involved every step of the way, whether it’s the design of the bottle, the way it smells on a woman,” he says. “It’s very basic, very classic. The anti-celebrity fragrance, very simple.”

For lots more on why the star is thrilled about the scents (spoiler: “they make people feel good about themselves, and that’s a good thing to do”) watch the sexy video above and check out his fragrances at Macy’s.
