It looks like Gucci cologne frontman James Franco is about to meet his match. Evan Rachel Wood is joining the brand as its newest fragrance face, WWD reports. “I chose Evan Rachel Wood as she has very strong character,” Gucci creative director Frida Giannini tells the publication. “She’s young, but rising and [an] influential figure. I didn’t want to offer this project to someone overexposed or too well known. Instead, I wanted a fresh individual that would coincide with the image of the project.” And overexposure certainly isn’t a problem for the starlet, who keeps details of her private life, including her engagement to shock-rocker Marilyn Manson on the down-low. While details of the actress’s role with the brand are still being finalized, the partnership would mark her first fragrance deal. We think the combination of Evan Rachel Wood’s fiery hair and porcelain skin is certain to make an impact at Gucci.
