On screen, Emilia Clarke is a woman to be reckoned with. In her role as the indisputable Khaleesi and Mother of Dragons on Game of Thrones, the actress has come to symbolize the feminist rallying cry that can currently be heard the world over. So it seems like an inevitability that Clarke was bound for some type of spokeswoman position befitting her fantasy royalty status, and now she’s finally found the perfect fit, signing on with Dolce & Gabbana as the face of its fragrance, The One.

It was announced on Monday that the actress will follow in the illustrious footsteps of supermodels like Gisele Bündchen and superstars like Scarlett Johansson, scoring the coveted role in Dolce & Gabbana’s campaign for the perfume The One. Her tenure as face of the fragrance will begin in September 2017 and Clarke will help launch The One’s new eau de toilette. Both designers enthused, “Emilia Clarke embodies perfectly the Dolce & Gabbana woman: She is radiant and lively. Her personality and natural beauty will capture the essence of this new campaign: joyful, spontaneous and full of life. She is The One!”

As Senior Vice President Serena Giovi put it in a release for the company, “Bella is a social superstar and total style chameleon like all of us Buxom babes, she’ll be sharing her best Buxom looks directly with fans – it’s the perfect partnership.” And the Boo! A Madea Halloween star couldn’t be more thrilled about the appointment, saying, “I live my life in full color and being a Buxom babe is a true expression of who I am. FROM COINAGE: The Most Expensive TV Shows of All Time

Meanwhile, New Zealand lingerie brand Lonely Lingerie is looking outside the usual roster of Instagram It-Girls, hiring 56-year-old model Mercy Brewer to pose in a campaign for their latest Autumn/Winter 2017 collection.

Brewer talked about her new role with local New Zealand website Stuff, explaining, “Perceptions of beauty have and always will change, therefore I think we can conclude its standard is not set in stone, and new beauty is always waiting to be discovered. I believe we are in a moment in time where older women’s beauty has been a startling revelation. If we don’t recognize it, we, every one of us, deny ourselves a future to look forward to.”

And the brand’s co-founder and designer Helene Morris concurs, adding, “The beauty and fashion industries are so obsessed with youth, but the reality is we are all aging, and there are so many wonderful things about growing older. So often the primary message around age is intervention, which is a frustrating response to such a natural, inevitable process.”
