Lifestyle Style Emergency Obsessed or Hot Mess: Christina Hendricks's Gold Silk Turban The actress's bold hair accessory calls for an emergence "Obsessed or Hot Mess" vote By Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico Brittany Talarico is PEOPLE's Deputy Style Director, where she oversees the brand's digital Style and Beauty coverage. This includes running lead on the Met Gala, which is among PEOPLE.com's top-trafficked red carpet events every year, interviewing the industry's top influencers (including all the Kardashian-Jenners), and breaking A-list celeb news (a New Jersey shore native, it is no surprise that her favorite interview ever was with Bruce Springsteen). People Editorial Guidelines Published on October 8, 2014 03:40 PM Share Tweet Pin Email We can always count on Christina Hendricks to hit the red carpet with great hair and a lipstick shade we want to track down for our own makeup kit. And while her latest look fired on both of those cylinders (hair home run, fabulous lipstick shade) there were other aspects of her ensemble editors have mixed feelings about. You guessed it: We’re talking about that bold gold silky turban she wore on her head to the Tacori event in West Hollywood Tuesday. Gabriel Olsen/Getty The actress added a hit of color to her high-waisted black trousers and white blouse via the unique hairpiece, which covered up the top of what looked like a great blowout. We know turbans are trendy, and maybe if we saw this look on Kourtney Kardashian we wouldn’t even bat an eyelash, but on the 39-year-old Mad Men star (who’s known for her retro glam style and more classic beauty looks), something didn’t quite click. We’ve seen this done well when it’s sleek or more simple, but the overlapping layers of satin and the sunshine-y hue were surprising, to say the least.
