Cody Simpson, Bella Hadid and More Star in Denim & Supply's Fall Campaign Video (EXCLUSIVE First Look!)
The brand tapped Tinashe and Hailey Baldwin, too!
It’s been months since model it-girl Hailey Baldwin and rising singer-songwriter Tinashe teased they were working on something with Denim & Supply — and that Cody Simpson and Bella Hadid were also somehow involved. Now, we finally know just what that top-secret project is: A music video for the brand’s fall 2015 campaign. And PEOPLE has the exclusive first look!

Ralph Lauren’s decidedly edgier line has a history of tapping young, up-and-coming musicians. For its past two fall campaigns, the brand collaborated with Avicii on a number of music videos, including the Swedish DJ’s hit single “Wake Me Up.” So it should come as no surprise that the fashion giant planned a big number for its buzzy new headliners: A remake of the iconic 1970s song “Express Yourself”, which they filmed in N.Y.C.’s legendary Electric Lady Studios. (Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and Patti Smith have all recorded there.)
“Being able to play guitar at Electric Lady, it was just so sick,” says Simpson. “I’m a crazy Hendrix fan, so being there was rad for me.”
Adds Tinashe, who’s going on tour with Nicki Minaj later this year: “The set was really fun. We had a dance break…I don’t even know what to call it…a parody type thing that we were filming, and it just brought out all of the moves.” (For the record, Simpson swears he mostly “just stood there with [his] guitar and was chilling” during the dance party.)

As for BFFs Baldwin and Hadid’s involvement in the collab? The two star as — what else? — models for the brand’s rustic wares, which include a military-inspired jumpsuit, rugged plaids, breezy floral dresses and a whole lot of floppy hats.
“I loved how laid-back all of the pieces were,” says Hadid. “I would genuinely wear every look out on the street, everyday! I loved the jeans, long dresses and tees they styled us in. I tried to take home most of it.”
Now, for those of you who keep track of Young Hollywood’s romantic affairs, you might be wondering: Wouldn’t working with your older sister’s ex-boyfriend be pretty awkward? (For those not up to speed, Simpson dated Hadid’s older sister, Gigi — model-of-the-moment and notable Taylor Swift squad member — for nearly two years. The pair confirmed their breakup in May.) But Simpson insists there’s no bad blood between him and Bella.
“It was interesting. I never thought I’d do modeling with my ex-girlfriend’s sister, which is strange,” Simpson says. “But she’s a super-rad girl and a cool friend, so it was cool.”

Anywho, enough talking about the video. We’ll let you dive into it. Go ahead, and try not to bop along.
Watch it? Good. Didn’t we tell you bandana neckties are a thing?
