Whoever said a Mommy & Me clothing line that sells matching ensembles was exclusively for toddlers and their parental figures who want to dress just like them, clearly doesn’t understand the true beauty of an ageless twinning moment. Unlike Christie Brinkley, who sent her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook off to college on Tuesday in coordinated denim ensembles. Because even when your kid legally becomes an adult, they’re still never too old to be embarrassed one more time by mom.
On Tuesday, the Sports Illustrated supermodel posed for an Instagram snap with her college-bound daughter, proving they don’t just look identical, but they also have nearly identical senses of style. Both ladies posed with one leg outstretched, hands firmly planted on hips and kissy faces pointed at the camera, each wearing denim overalls with a white t-shirt, sneakers, and golden tresses casually tossed over one shoulder.
In other words, the pair achieved peak twinning, since they didn’t just dress alike, but actually look like they could in fact be sisters. The 62-year-old model captioned the shot, “Brinkley Moving Company! We Get the job done! 🚚 #offtocollege#latergram“
Her daughter also posted an overall-clad snap to her own account, but this time going solo. In the shot, the teen strikes a powerful pose, flexing with one leg thrown up on a moving box, captioned, “Watch out new york city you’ve got a new full-time resident 🌇”
Hopefully that means we’ll be seeing much more of her prototypical SoCal mother strutting the streets of our fair city, as well, if only for all the potential matching collegiate style moments. And if they’re ever looking to get their new business venture off the ground, we also wouldn’t say no to having these two blonde bombshells help us move out of our next apartment.
