Charlotte McKinney Doesn't Want to Be Compared to Kate Upton: 'We Have Different Career Paths'
Charlotte McKinney and Kate Upton have a lot in common: They both grew up in Florida, they’re both blonde bombshells and they just happen to look really good (and scarily similar) in barely-there bikinis. But don’t mention any of that to McKinney.

“I’m over it. I believe [Kate and I are two] totally different people and we have different career paths,” the 21-year-old wrote in a Tweet during a Twitter chat with Page Six.
Although both models starred in (separate) Carl’s Jr. commercials, McKinney was against the comparison from the beginning of her rise to fame. “Personally, I don’t compare myself at all to her,” McKinney told Fox News in September. “I think we’re two totally different people, but I admire her business aspect of her career. I think she’s done an amazing job.”
For McKinney, who recently appeared as a contestant on
Dancing with the Stars
, she says she wants to incorporate a mix of modeling and acting into her career. “I want to do more movies, TV and editorials and take this amazing opportunity and turn it into something,” she says. (Sounds pretty similar to another model-turned-actress, but we won’t mention names!)
As for that infamous burger ad that helped launch McKinney (even her dad “friggin’ loved it”), she’s still a loyal customer.
“I actually had one last Sunday,” she told PEOPLE in March. “I work out really hard and I stay on my diet all week. But on a Sunday, you know, maybe a little hungover, you have to reward yourself here and there, so I do.”
The model also maintains her figure with Pilates, hot yoga and weight training.
“I’m really interested in finding good tips to stay in shape, and I love being in the gym,” she says. “It’s a huge hobby.”
We’re not too sure why she’s so keen on distancing her self from Upton (after all, the Sports Illustrated cover girl pulled in an impressive number of modeling campaigns last year), but maybe McKinney will forge her own path in the workout market?
