Cate Blanchett's Most Beautiful (& Sustainable!) Looks from the 2020 Venice Film Festival
The actress is the jury president for the 2020 Venice Film Festival, but the Queen of the Re-Wear stuns on the carpet and beyond
Waving in White
Blanchett rocked classic menswear while arriving at the festival on Sept. 1. Perhaps more impressive than her résumé as an actress is her ability to wear all white without getting dirty.
Blanchett is a pro at wearing simple, classic ensembles — and looking impeccably stylish while she's at it. She added a navy blazer to the ensemble upon arrival and transformed the outfit.
She added a sequin Giorgio Armani tuxedo jacket to the look a few days later, on Sept. 6.
Bringing Back the Bling
Starting off her re-wearing spree, Blanchett recycled this Esteban Cortázar gown on Sept. 2. We first saw this look at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Carol in 2015 — it's no surprise that Blanchett still looks amazing in it.
Blanchett's stylist, Elizabeth Stewart wrote on Instagram that the dress will be donated for an auction via RAD (Red Carpet Advocacy), benefitting UN Women and Facing History and Ourselves.
Another Day, Another Red Carpet
Blanchett's 2016 BAFTA look by Alexander McQueen — originally a dress — got a second chance to dazzle on the carpet, this time reworked to wear with pants.
Cool & Comfy
The actress kept it chic and safe, matching her mask to her playful palm-print set.
All Black Everything
Blanchett re-wore this Acne Studios ensemble that she first sported in 2018, switching out a white button-up with a black one.
Pretty in Pink
Blanchett rocked this stunning Alexander McQueen gown on the red carpet for the Di Yi Lu Xiang (Love After Love) screening on Sept. 8.
Old Hollywood Glam
This photo of Blanchett waving from a boat on Sept. 10 is timeless (as is her chic royal blue Gucci jumpsuit).
Strike a Pose
Blanchett recycled this Giorgio Armani Privé gown, having worn it for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.
Plaid to See You
There's not a single blazer in the world that Blanchett can't wear the heck out of, and you can't convince us otherwise.
Packing a Punch
Some Superheroes Do Wear Capes
Blanchett saved the best for last when she wore a stunning Giorgio Armani Privé gown and cape to the festival's closing ceremony on Sept. 12. The ensemble will also be auctioned at RAD.
