The Olay spokesmodel and red carpet vet knows a thing or two about beauty looks. Though her resolution is to remember that “less is more,” she still loves to opt for an edgy glam look with false eyelashes. “I go for the really dramatic ones that are pretty thick,” she shares. “They make a world of difference in the look of my makeup!”

For the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction of American Idol founder Simon Fuller, Carrie chose a ladylike look by Mandalay, worn with Henri Bendel accessories. “I felt it was very appropriate for the event sweet and very comfortable to wear,” she says. “I felt like a lady!”

Happily married for nearly two years to hockey player Mike Fisher, the singer still loves her girls’ nights but jokes, “We’re not trying to impress anybody.” Her go-to getup? “Skinny jeans, heels and a top with some sparkle to it,” she says. “I also love scarves and jackets.”

“This dress was simply a work of wearable art,” she says of the Zuhair Murad mini, which she paired with M.C.L. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza jewels and Chelsea Paris heels for the premiere of her acting debut, Soul Surfer. “I love the nude color, black details and flowery detail on the side.”

Though it’s surprising that the fashion plate likes to go casual, she says she’s excited for spring, “when I can dress cute and comfortably, and not have to put too much thought into what I’m putting on.” At the top of her warm-weather-wardrobe list: “Shorts and sundresses! I also love funky sandals and flip-flops.” She shows off that ethos here in Jay Godfrey.

JEAN SCENE

The petite star says she picks skirts and shorts over pants for one reason only: “I’m pretty short, and rarely take the time to have my clothes altered – so I don’t even bother with things that are too long. It makes shopping hard!”
