Cameron Diaz has said, “I’m not a person who does anything halfway,” and she’s proving that true in her artistic director role for accessories line Pour La Victoire. The actress directed the label’s Spring 2014 campaign shoot, and we’ve got behind-the-scenes images to prove it. (And yes, it’s still a little jarring to see the actress behind the lens instead of in front of it!)

Diaz (who is rumored to be dating Benji Madden!) took a totally hands on approach, working closely with the campaign model on set. (She even looks the part of an artistic director, in her casual denim shirt, jeans and a cardi!).

“When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn’t really have its own identity,” she told Footwear News earlier this year. “It was a little bit all over the place. I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that.”

We can already see some of Diaz’s bold personality in the collection — for example, the cobalt high-heel mule and snakeskin handbag, both featured in the spring/summer campaign. We also love how the accessories pop amid the neutral clothing pieces on the model.

But despite Diaz’s mark on the brand and her hands-on approach to styling, she doesn’t want fans to focus on her. “I don’t want girls to aspire to be me. That’s not what this brand is about. It’s not about wearing a shoe I would wear,” she said. “I want them to see themselves in this shoe.”
