Brie Larson 'Stands By' Her Tie-Dye 2002 Red Carpet Looks (Can We Hope for a SAG Awards Rewear?)

She's been a style star since the early 2000s

It’s basically impossible not to have a style crush on Brie Larson. She’s been choosing glamorous gowns and trend-setting red carpet looks all season. We also love that the 26-year-old actress has absolutely zero fashion regrets, even if the outfit in question is from the early ’00s and involve brick-red velvet pants.

When a Twitter follower asked Larson for her thoughts on the “iconic” tie-dye bejeweled neckline top, shimmery gold jacket, velvet bell bottoms and amazingly retro accessories (1920s coin purse, 1970s leather boots and 1990s choker necklace) she wore to the Big Fat Liar red carpet in 2002, Larson was unequivocal in her enthusiasm: “I still stand by this look. Thank you for asking.”

Scrolling through her many amazing millennial throwbacks on Insta proves two things. First, she was most definitely that girl in school decked out in head-to-toe Limited Too everyday. And second, no other outfit will ever, ever match her self iron-on patches from Hot Topic at The Powerpuff Girls Movie premiere.
