Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson Wear Avengers-Themed Jewelry to the Film's Premiere
The highly anticipated finale to the Avengers saga opens in theaters Friday
In honor of the epic finale of the record-breaking Marvel movie series, Larson, 29, and Johansson, 34, paid homage to the film by rocking Infinity Gauntlet-themed jewels to the delight of superfans across the Internet.
Larson paired her custom lilac Celine by Hedi Slimane slip gown with stunning Irene Neuwirth jewelry adorned with gorgeous gems on her left arm. The actress wore one chunky ring on each of her fingers, with each piece featuring a different colored gem, including orange, red, purple, pink and green stones.
Larson and her stylist Samantha McMillen commissioned the piece from Neuwirth to represent the infinity stones on Thanos’ glove.
The stones control the galaxy and in the last film of the franchise, Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos (the supervillain) acquired all of them, gaining the control of the universe and with the snap of his finger, killing half of the world’s population.
Larson also wore a statement gold cuff bracelet with a large amber stone which was inspired by Thanos’ gauntlet.
“When @samanthamcmillen_stylist and @brielarson call you and commission you to make special pieces inspired by this … you JUMP on it , right ? Ready to see ??,” Neuwirth captioned the preview photo on Instagram.
Johansson went for equally Thanos-worthy jewels on her left arm, just like Larson. To accessorize her glittering Versace chainmail midi dress, the star wore colorful gem rings on each finger which were connected to a gold bracelet with a chain and oval orange stone.
Both actresses wearing the custom pieces pays homage to previous movies in the Marvel film’s franchise.
The highly anticipated finale of the Avengers saga brought out all the stars, including Chris Pratt and fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger, who made their relationship red carpet official and newly married couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters Friday.
