When it was time to pick her wedding dress, Bridget Moynahan enjoyed the royal treatment.

“Mr. Mendel attended fittings in-person,” explains Basia Zamorska, who worked with coveted designer J. Mendel on Moynahan’s sleek and unique fall-inspired gown. “All the staff toasted the finished creation with champagne.”

With a multitude of layers of bias strips, the custom mermaid-shaped gown had “beautiful raw edges,” says Moynahan’s hair accessories designer Susan van der Linde. “It was elegant, timeless and pretty, with a touch of sauvage.”

To accentuate the dress, Van der Linde created “small silk organza rosebuds that would be placed into the hair. A single ostrich bar was tied around the base of the rosette for texture and movement.

As for her shinier accessories, Moynahan teamed up with HStern. “They’ve collaborated with Bridget for red carpet events for years,” says Zamorska. The stylist and Frankel teamed up to gift her the rare bling. “We surprised Bridget with her favorite HStern earrings. There was only one pair in existence!”

Still, the main sparklers were on the bride’s finger. “Andrew proposed to Bridget in April on a romantic getaway in Puerto Rico,” explains Zamorska. He popped the question with a vintage estate engagement ring from Fred Leighton. “The diamond is set east-west,” says the stylist, “exactly what the bride has always wanted.”

To complement the piece, Moynahan’s wedding band was a platinum baguette diamond eternity band custom made by Mollie Faith. Says Zamorska, “Bridget asked for something simple.”

Overall, the look was as Van der Linde puts it, “A unique creation for a unique woman.”
