Lifestyle Style Biggest Beauty Trend Spotted on the Met Gala Red Carpet? A Non-Trend, As in, No Eyebrows Bye bye, bold brows! By Sarah Kinonen Published on May 3, 2016 02:58 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Deep, black lips, gray hair and silvery smoky eyes flooded the Met Gala red carpet (as expected) to fit the evening’s “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” theme. But there’s one celeb-worn trend that we totally weren’t expecting to pop up not once but three times: bleached brows! Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty (2); Evan Agostini/Invision/AP Katy Perry may have given us a heads up that her Met Gala ensemble was going to make waves the day before the big event, but we certainly weren’t expecting the CoverGirl to show up in a such a dramatic style and beauty moment. Case in point: The singer went dark, opting for a deep, black lip (the Perry Panther shade from her new Katy Kat CoverGirl matte lipstick collection), voluminous beehive-inspired updo and super-lightened arches to pair with her black-and-gown embellished Prada getup. “I dyed my eyebrows about 45 minutes ago,” she told PeopleStyle on the red carpet. Lily Aldridge opted for a similar brow look, dyeing her deep brunette arches a bold, gold shade to better match her sexy Michael Kors Collection gown with cutout detailing that put her abs on full display. The supermodel teamed the dramatic pair of brows with a nude, almost-brown lip hue and barely there mascara.
