While Frankel offered her congratulations to her RHONY co-star, she doesn't think Singer's business is totally legit

It doesn’t seem like Bethenny Frankel has too much faith in Ramona Singer‘s latest business venture.

The The Real Housewives of New York City stars have been through their fair share of ups and downs, and although they’ve been keeping their distance so far on this season of the hit Bravo show, Frankel revealed her honest opinion about Singer’s newly launched skincare line, Ageless by Ramona.

While she visited the Bravo Clubhouse for Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a caller asked Frankel, “As a legit businesswoman, what do you think about Ramona’s new skincare line, Ageless by Ramona?”

The Skinnygirl mogul started off by giving her on-again-off-again friend some positive feedback.

“I think the name is really good. I think she talks a lot about anti-aging, and she looks good. She’s always with her dermatologist,” Frankel said. “I wish her the very best of luck. She puts it on your hand anytime she gets the chance, but it’s not hand cream, but it felt good. But, good luck.”

But then Andy Cohen interjected asking, “Do you think it’s a real business?”

“Oh. Oh,” Frankel said as she paused before deciding, “Um, no. No.”

She continued, “I think that, I mean, what are real businesses now? There’s so many definitions. Do I think she has some product that she can sell online? Yeah. I don’t think she has good distribution.”

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Singer defended the authenticity and business model behind her skincare line.

“I have been working very hard on this anti aging skin serum for the past year with the top research team, developers and dermatologists,” she said. “Ageless by Ramona is a game changer. The product has been rapidly selling. I have had thirty commercials air over the past weekend. They aired on Bravo & E among other networks. If this isn’t a real business I don’t know what is. Sadly Bethenny has yet to learn #womensupportwomen.”

Singer launched her debut product — the Ageless by Ramona Skin Renewal Serum — on the brand’s online store for $39.99 in February. The self-proclaimed skincare “maven” has been putting all her “passion and energies” into the company.

“I’ve been using it for the past five months and it really has changed by skin tremendously,” she told Bravo. “People just go, ‘What’s going on? Are you reverse aging?'”

Once she learned from her dermatologist that people start losing collagen in their face at age 23, she was inspired to create a product that could combat that.

“I developed this great formula. It has key ingredients of Matrixyl 3000 [that stimulates collagen production] combined with hyaluronic acid [which hydrates for plumper skin]…it really promotes collagen and cell renewal which is what you need,” Singer said.
