HANKY PANKY
Andrea Lavinthal, Style and Beauty Director: Hanky Panky diehards like myself come to the brand for the eye-catching candy colors and pretty lace design and stay for the remarkably comfortable fit. Because let’s be honest: If that all-important strip of fabric doesn’t sit perfectly where it’s supposed to, it doesn’t matter how cute the undies are. And here’s an insider tip: Go for the original rise over the low one. It covers more real estate in the front, which in my opinion, is a more flattering look.

MIEL
Colleen Kratofil, Style Writer-Reporter: I don't work out in anything other than Miel bikini briefs. Just about every other brand I've tried either had uncomfortable waist bands or wedgie-prone cuts, but Miel managed to make a breathable stay-put underwear that is so stretchy and soft you barely realize you're wearing anything at all.

Kami Phillips, E-Commerce Editor: Pretty, super soft and incredibly affordable? When it comes to underwear, it doesn't get much better than shopping at Aerie. You can find just about any style imaginable in every color under the rainbow. This lace thong is my favorite - it's so pretty I bought it in every color!

GAP
Emily Kirkpatrick, Associate Style News Editor: I cannot recommend a piece of underwear any more than I do every single pair Gap Body makes. They're easy, breathable, cheap, and pretty much VPL-proof. In other words: the Holy Grail. I'll even give you my #1 pro tip: buy them one size up so you can pull them up to your belly button for maximum comfiness. You're welcome.

Lindy Segal, Style Social Editor: I'm very much of the mindset that you can get anything at Target, and that includes my underwear. You can't beat the five for $20 deal, and every time I pop in they seem to have an entire new crop of styles and colors. From cute boyshorts to seamless thongs, you really can't go wrong.

Sharon Kanter, Deputy Style Director: These are the most flattering undies ever (read: they don't dig into your side or leave weird marks) and they come in a rainbow's worth of colors. Gotta collect 'em all, right?

CALVIN KLEIN
Sarah Ball, Fashion Market Editor: The style name pretty much says it all; invisible. This underwear is so incredibly soft and thin -- you actually don't even realize your wearing any, which is perfect for when you're sporting a silky dress or tighter fitting garment because no one once a Brittney Spears moment.

VICTORIA'S SECRET
Jackie Fields, Beauty Editor: I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Victoria’s Secret Angel walk down the runway in this most basic brief from the brand's vast panty collection, but I feel heavenly every time I slip a pair on. They the cotton bikini epitomizes comfort, but the overall cut skews more sexy than senior. I have at least 30 pairs in black, but every once in a while I pick up one of their cheeky (pun intended) prints, too.
