For models, 2017 was a year in wacky pants. Gigi Hadid went on a puzzling pants parade this summer (during a heat wave no less!) wearing the baggiest, boldest, most polarizing pieces out there, while Kendall Jenner found bottomless (get it) inspiration in white leggings, ruffly jeans and ankle-leash shorts. But Bella Hadid was no slouch in the insane pants department either, and her Monday night look was no exception.

Bella was spotted leaving a SZA concert in N.Y.C. wearing paperbag-waist jeans in a stiff material. She styled the rest of the look with coordinating pieces, matching her jeans to her lighter wash denim jacket and paired an orange henley shirt with bright yellow sneakers.

While they may not be as wacky as Gigi’s detachable jeans or her floor-grazing trousers, they are certainly memorable, especially in a week when Bella’s been mostly seen in eveningwear.

Over the weekend she attended Tag Heuer’s new London flagship wearing a sexy form-fitting red sparkly one-shoulder Ralph Lauren Collection gown complete with a furry-trimmed coat and kept her glam look intact all night — even once she joined a protest!

The supermodel joined a group protesting President Donald Trump‘s decision to declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel outside the U.S. Embassy in London.

Bella’s father, Mohamed Hadid, is of Palestinian origin and she shared her reaction to the news on Instagram last week.

“I’ve been waiting to put this into perfect words but I realized there is no perfect way to speak of something so unjust. A very very sad day. Watching the news and seeing the pain of the Palestinian people makes me cry for the many many generations of Palestine,” she wrote.

“Seeing the sadness of my father, cousins, and Palestinian family that are feeling for our Palestinian ancestors makes this even harder to write. Jerusalem is home of all religions. For this to happen, I feel, makes us take 5 steps back making it harder to live in a world of peace.”
